Just have to brag for a minute about my girl! Earlier this year Bailee was tested for the Gifted Program. She tested 99% nationally in Math and did wonderfully in Language Arts. Its been good, because she just gets so bored in class. It allows her to be taken out of class and put where she can do work that is on her level, not just extra work.
They had a 5th grade awards program yesterday. It was really nice. She got the gold for "Give Me Liberty" where they had to do 13 things that have to do with America, including memorizing the Gettysburg Address. They had until Feb, I think, to finish it, yeah she had it done in October! Basically within the first few weeks that they handed out the assignment. It was one of a few assignments that they had to choose from. She did awesome! She also got a medal for doing well on the end of level testing.
When Horizon opened 6 years ago, Bailee and alot of her classmates were the kindergarteners. So, they were the first class to go all the way from kindergarten up. It was really neat what they came up with. They did a slide show of their kindergarten pictures and Mrs. Barrett, her kindergarten teacher, handed them all a treat and gave them all a hug as they were called up. Really sweet!
Dave, Tyler and I all showed up to support her. As you can see, she SOOOO appreciates the support!:) This is our Bailee!! Love her so much, tongue and all!!
