Our first day in Maryland we headed down to DC. Tyler had a arranged for a couple to take us into DC and show us around, John and Alta. They were really sweet and we had a great time with them. They took us on the metro. That meant that we got to do a lot of walking. We saw Washington Memorial and Lincoln Memorial (from a long ways off, but of course you can't see everything in just a few hours). We also saw the White House, and around the corner from there we ate at a fun place where alot of suits from the Capitol came to do business. It was Emmitts Grill, the first saloon in DC. Also a place where some of the Presidents either lived or visited frequently.
